Supervisor, Warehouse Operations; Day Shift

Warehouse Operations at Cardinal Health manages materials handling and product distribution in a distribution or manufacturing environment. Responsibilities include warehousing, fulfillment, transportation, inventory management, demand, supply, and manufacturing planning. The role oversees the receipt, storage, and shipment of product, ensuring efficient flow from vendor receipt to final delivery for internal and external customers.

• Direct and manage a team of 20‑30 inbound operations warehouse associates to meet productivity and quality standards.
• Monitor site productivity metrics—cycle times, scans per hour, shortages, damaged units, missed dispatches—and hold associates accountable with timely feedback and corrective action.
• Adhere to budgetary guidelines and achieve distribution center objectives while maintaining quality and inventory standards.
• Lead continuous improvement projects such as Gemba walks, Kaizen workshops, and takt board initiatives.
• Schedule workforce daily to ensure proper staffing for picking, replenishment, restocking, and shipping activities.
• Coordinate equipment maintenance, preventive upkeep, and necessary repairs.
• Engage in employee development through training, coaching, counseling, and performance appraisals.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including HR, on hiring decisions and disciplinary processes.
• Prepare ad hoc reports using Excel and manage accurate timekeeping, attendance, and PTO records.
• Enforce safety compliance with OSHA, DEA, FDA, and other regulatory authorities; conduct Job Safety Observations and manage safety incidents.
• Assist with QRA audits and non‑conformance issues, ensuring completion of required training and documentation.
• Operate in cold temperatures as required by shift segments and be certified on all facility equipment (order picker, forklift, reach truck, turret truck, pallet jack, walkie rider).

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience (preferred 4‑8 years relevant experience).
• Experience operating material handling equipment such as order pickers, forklifts, or reach trucks.
• Proficient in English (verbal and written) and Spanish preferred.
• Prior leadership experience with teams and proven continuous improvement skills (Lean or Six Sigma).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Excel (including Pivot Tables and spreadsheets).
• Experience with ERPs such as SAP or Manhattan.
• Ability to solve complex scenarios and drive change.
• Physical capability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform repetitive movements for an entire shift.

• Coordinate and supervise daily operations and business staff.
• Administer and enforce policies and procedures.
• Ensure employees operate within guidelines and make decisions that impact unit operations and customers.
• Interact regularly with subordinates, customers, and peers across management levels.

Anticipated salary range: $75,600 – $107,900 annually (bonus eligible:
