US Foods is seeking an Outbound Warehouse Manager to lead day-to-day outbound operations in our wholesale food service distribution center. In this role, you will oversee picking, staging, loading, and shipping to ensure accurate, on-time deliveries for restaurants, healthcare, and hospitality customers. You will supervise and develop a team of warehouse associates, champion a strong safety and food safety culture, and monitor KPIs for productivity, accuracy, and service.
Partnering closely with transportation and other departments, you will drive continuous improvement, optimize labor and equipment utilization, and support system and process enhancements in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead outbound warehouse operations to ensure accurate, on-time order fulfillment for food service customers
- Supervise, schedule, and develop warehouse staff, promoting a performance-driven, safety-first culture
- Monitor inventory accuracy, picking, loading, and shipping processes to meet productivity and quality targets
- Enforce food safety, OSHA, and company safety standards, ensuring a clean, organized warehouse environment
- Track KPIs, analyze operational data, and drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with transportation, inbound, and sales teams to align shipping priorities and resolve issues
- Optimize labor planning, equipment utilization, and layout to improve efficiency and reduce costs
- Conduct regular audits, cycle counts, and root-cause analysis for service or accuracy failures
- Train employees on standard operating procedures, equipment use, and safety practices
- Support implementation of new systems and processes, including WMS enhancements and best practices
