Peerless-AV is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Shipping Clerk / Warehouse Associate to join our manufacturing team. This position is responsible for preparing, packaging, processing, wrapping, and staging outbound shipments to ensure customer orders are shipped accurately, safely, and on time.
The ideal candidate has previous shipping or warehouse experience, is comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, and must be able to safely operate a sit-down forklift
. This position will perform a combination of shipping clerk, pallet wrapping, material handling, and general shipping department responsibilities.
- Minimum of 1 year of shipping, warehouse, manufacturing, or distribution experience preferred.
- Sit-down forklift experience required.
- Experience using Star Ship shipping software preferred.
- Experience with UPS World Ship and/or Fed Ex Ship Manager is a plus.
- Experience operating an order picker is a plus.
- Experience operating an automated stretch wrapping machine or other pallet wrapping equipment is a plus.
- Experience with LTL freight shipments, bills of lading, and shipping documentation preferred.
- Experience using an ERP or inventory management system preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and quality.
- Basic computer skills and understanding of warehouse safety practices.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and maintain productivity in a fast-paced environment.
- Process daily domestic and international shipments using Star Ship or other designated shipping software.
- Generate shipping labels, packing slips, bills of lading, and other required shipping documentation.
- Verify products, quantities, addresses, and order information prior to shipment.
- Ensure customer orders are packaged, labeled, and shipped accurately and on time.
- Coordinate shipments with parcel carriers, LTL freight carriers, and internal departments.
- Maintain accurate shipment information and records within the company's ERP and shipping systems.
- Assist with maintaining an adequate inventory of shipping and packaging supplies.
- Operate the automated stretch wrapping machine to securely prepare pallets for shipment.
