As a Precision CNC Manufacturing Programmer-Operator, you’ll own the full lifecycle of machining: programming, setup, first-piece prove-out, and production. You’ll safeguard quality and safety standards, log critical data, and keep equipment and tooling in peak condition.

What you’ll do
  • Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, material specs, and machining parameters; apply advanced GD&T to meet tight tolerances.
  • Program and run CNC equipment using G-code and/or conversational programming; set zeros, reference points, tool registers, offsets, compensations, and conditional switches.
  • Perform complete setups with minimal assistance: program edits, install/adjust tools, attachments, collets, bushings, and stops; indicate parts and verify alignment.
  • Load raw stock safely; verify setups via measurements on first-run and sample pieces, following international standards.
  • Monitor cutting operations (drilling, grooving, turning, facing); measure, troubleshoot, and correct issues by editing programs and replacing worn tooling.
  • Execute preventive maintenance; follow manufacturer instructions; escalate repair needs promptly.
  • Train and mentor machinists on production methods, programming, troubleshooting, and maintenance to ensure consistent, accurate output.
  • Maintain continuity across shifts by documenting actions, irregularities, and ongoing needs; complete production and quality logs.
What you bring
  • Associate Degree in Machining Technology (or related) and 3+ years of CNC machining experience, or an equivalent mix of education and experience.
  • Experience with FANUC controls, mill and lathe machining, and CMM exposure is a plus.
Skills that set you up for success
  • Technical: Proficiency with dimensional measuring tools; strong mechanical aptitude; geometry and trigonometry to validate programs against prints; ability to determine, sharpen, and fabricate tooling; capable with hoists, hand tools, and related instruments; apply technical products to diverse industrial processes; working knowledge of arc/radius programming and manual compensation for tool nose radius/clearance.
  • People: Collaborative approach with teams at all organizational levels.
  • Business: Sound judgment with confidential information; exceptional prioritization, time management, and organization; thrive amid changing priorities in a fast-paced setting.
