Position Summary
This is a 1st shift position. Operate numerically controlled milling/drilling machine to perform machining operations such as splitting, turning, drilling.
Responsibilities- Through blueprints and setup instructions determine dimension, proper tooling, machining required and feed and speed rates.
- Calls down appropriate program for part or writes program for part.
- Lifts and mounts work piece onto tables.
- Selects and installs tooling.
- Use numerical display on control panel comparing with data on print to verify dimensional adjustments, feeds rates and speeds on machining cuts.
- Notify supervisor if machined work piece does not conform to specifications or if machine malfunctions.
- Complete appropriate production related paperwork.
- Maintain machines to ensure maximum performance.
