Overview
Cleanroom Technician works under close supervision, performing fabrication, assembly, or testing operations for electrical, mechanical, or other components manufactured or assembled in a clean‑room environment. The role includes operating equipment, setting up workstations, and following written or verbal process specifications to complete all assignments safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities- Work safely within company work instructions and policies.
- Weigh and fill chemicals or bulk products in accordance with Production Work Orders.
- Operate production scales, including verifications and calibrations.
- Set up, operate, clean, and maintain equipment such as heat sealers, floor scales, pumps, crushers, auger filling units, autoclave units, vibrating filler units, induction sealing equipment, portable exhaust hoods, and other required equipment.
- Follow cleanroom protocols and cGMPs to maintain an ISO Class 7 environment.
- Package finished products for shipping (boxing, labeling) per work instructions.
- Handle hazardous materials using all appropriate safety gear.
- Sweep, mop floors, and clean the workstation after each product filling.
- Complete documentation legibly, verifying and reviewing for accuracy.
- Maintain expected quality and quantity of work.
- Follow cGMP policies and procedures for handling, storage, packing, manufacturing, and distributing products.
- Support coworkers and work as a team player.
- Actively participate in continuous improvement processes and follow change‑control procedures.
- Instill a “build it right the first time” mentality.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school completion or equivalent (GED).
- 0–2 years of production experience in a cleanroom environment.
- Experience working in a cleanroom environment.
- Experience interpreting engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Perform duties with the highest regard for safety and quality.
- Ability to be trained and adhere to all cleanroom protocols.
- Ability to understand and follow site protocols, policies, and procedures.
- Flexibility, forward‑thinking mindset, motivation, and ability to act independently.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs minimum.
- Basic computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).
- Problem‑solving skills.
The role is performed in a production/cleanroom setting with adequate lighting and ventilation at standard temperature and noise levels. The position requires standing and walking for the majority of the day, bending, stooping, squatting, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 pounds with or without assistance. The job involves repetitive hand and foot actions, and requires good close and depth vision.
