Finishing Operator
We are seeking a detail-oriented Finishing Operator to join our team on a weekend shift schedule. The Finishing Operator will be responsible for perfecting and enhancing the final appearance of products through various finishing techniques. This includes working with fabricated components, electrical components, subassemblies, and miscellaneous parts. The role requires operating and monitoring finishing equipment, ensuring quality standards, and following safety procedures at all times.

Responsibilities:
- Complete parts as needed to meet production demands
- Perform finishing tasks such as masking, bead blasting, cleaning, and plating
- Read and interpret build specifications, quality requirements, and work documents
- Ensure products meet required quality standards and specifications
- Visually inspect parts for defects and perform quality checks as directed
- Maintain a clean and organized work area (5S standards)
- Follow all safety rules, plant policies, and standard operating procedures
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure accurate completion of tasks
- Provide assistance to coworkers as needed
- Demonstrate proper use of tools and finishing equipment
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous finishing or manufacturing experience (or transferrable hands-on experience)
- Ability to read assembly drawings and follow instructions
- Experience using hand tools and handling intricate parts
- Reliable attendance and positive attitude
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and handle parts up to 30 lbs.
- Stand for extended time periods (up to entire shift)
- Ability to bend, squat, kneel, or climb a stepladder while working
- Reach above and forward at least 18 inches
- Manual dexterity for handling small hardware and parts
- Good vision for inspecting parts and assemblies
