General Production – Assembly (1st shift)

This role focuses on large-part assembly within a clean, graphite-based manufacturing environment. You will assemble pump components by following blueprints and work instructions, perform repetitive manual tasks, and operate basic tools and equipment to build high-quality products on a consistent basis. We are looking for individuals to start as soon as possible. We offer weekly pay with overtime paying time and a half.

Responsibilities
  • Work in the assembly department to perform repetitive large-part assembly tasks on a daily basis.
  • Follow blueprints and detailed work instructions to complete the final assembly of pumps.
  • Hand-assemble graphite pieces using cement to create precise and durable assemblies.
  • Use overhead cranes to safely move and position heavy parts during the assembly process.
  • Lift and maneuver components weighing approximately 50–70 pounds throughout the shift.
  • Operate drills and other basic hand and power tools as part of the assembly process.
  • Accurately read and use a tape measure to ensure correct dimensions and alignment.
  • Perform physical and manual labor for the majority of the 1st shift schedule (5:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m., Monday–Thursday).
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area within a dusty graphite environment while adhering to safety procedures.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and quality standards.
  • Assist with general production, machine operation, packaging, and basic machine setup as needed.
Essential Skills
  • Previous manufacturing or construction experience.
  • Ability to read and accurately use a tape measure.
  • Ability to lift at least 50 pounds repeatedly and safely.
  • Experience performing physical and manual labor in a production environment.
  • Comfort working in a graphite environment that can be dusty.
  • Basic experience as a machine operator, including operating and monitoring equipment.
  • Experience with assembly work in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
  • Ability to use overhead cranes to move large or heavy parts.
  • Ability to use drills and other basic tools safely and effectively.
  • Ownership of steel toe boots suitable for an industrial environment.

  • Familiarity with large-part assembly and working with graphite or similar materials.
  • Strong attention to detail when following blueprints and work instructions.
  • Reliability in attending a 1st shift schedule (5:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m., Monday–Thursday).

Work Environment

This role is based in a graphite manufacturing facility that can be dusty, but the building is very clean, well-kept, and features good airflow to support a comfortable work setting. You will work on a 1st shift schedule from 5:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday. The environment involves regular use of overhead cranes, drills, and other basic production equipment, as well as frequent lifting and maneuvering of parts weighing 50–70 pounds.
