On‑site position located in Aurora, Ohio.
Position DescriptionMechanical Assembler at Layer Zero Power Systems LLC will assemble fabricated and electrical components, subassemblies, and miscellaneous enclosures. This detail‑oriented role requires preparing, positioning, assembling, and verifying parts that go into creating our products.
Primary Duties- Interpret 3D models to understand the assembly process and use basic computer skills (e.g., email).
- Use hand tools to assemble cabinet components (sub‑assemblies, frames, main components).
- Install flexibar and power cables as required by product design.
- Understand torque drawings and apply them correctly.
- Inspect parts, materials, and assemblies to meet company quality standards.
- Report quality issues to supervisors and leads.
- Communicate/document with supervision as required.
- Be dynamic and flexible as work content evolves.
- Assembly experience in a manufacturing environment or transferable mechanical experience.
- Ability to read assembly drawings and follow directions.
- Proficiency with hand tools and wire crimpers.
- Stand for extended periods, up to the entire eight‑hour shift.
- Bend, squat, kneel, or climb a stepladder while working.
- Reach above and forward at least 18 inches.
- Possess hand dexterity and install small hardware.
- Inspect parts and assemblies.
- High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade school preferred.
