Machinist
We are seeking a skilled machinist to join our team and work on a first shift from Monday to Thursday, 6:00 am to 4:30 pm, with the possibility of overtime on Fridays. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC milling machines, including both 3-axis and 5-axis equipment. The ideal candidate will have strong setup skills, attention to detail, and the ability to produce high-precision components in a fast-paced machining environment.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC vertical milling machines (3-axis and 5-axis).
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions.
- Load tools, set offsets, and verify program accuracy.
- Perform first article inspections and in-process quality checks.
- Troubleshoot machining issues and adjust programs/offsets as needed.
- Maintain tight tolerances and high-quality standards.
- Work with engineering and programming teams to optimize setups.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow safety procedures.
Essential Skills
- Experience with CNC machines and machining tight-tolerance components.
- Ability to perform complete machine setups independently.
- Strong understanding of GD&T and blueprint reading.
- Experience with common controls such as Haas, Fanuc, or similar.
- Familiarity with inspection tools like calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with 5-axis CNC machines is a plus but not required.
- Basic editing of G-code.
- Experience with high-mix, low-volume production.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Aurora, OH.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $32.00/hr.
