Test Technician Shifts

1st Shift – Monday–Friday, 6:00AM – 2:30PM

2nd Shift
- Monday – Thursday, 2:00PM – 12:30AM

Starting Pay: $27 to $28/hr

Incentives:

Performance reviews at 90 days and 180 day
- Potential to earn $32/hr by the end of the 1st year of employment.

A growing manufacturing organization is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Test Technician to support the inspection, testing, and troubleshooting of electrical and electronic power equipment. This role plays a critical part in ensuring products meet quality, safety, and performance standards prior to shipment. The Test Technician will work with limited supervision and utilize a variety of test equipment, procedures, and documentation systems.

• Inspect and test electrical and electronic power equipment, including transformers and circuit breakers
• Troubleshoot AC and DC power and control circuits up to 480V
• Perform occasional repairs on control, power, and fiber optic assemblies, including crimping and routing
• Program and interface electronic devices with computer-based software
• Execute standard production testing and assist with testing of newly developed products
• Complete test reports, documentation, and records using computer systems and written forms
• Follow all safety procedures, including electrical PPE and lock-out/tag-out protocols

• Exposure to electrical circuits and voltages up to 480V
• Moderate noise and heat during load testing
• Occasional use of step ladders to access cabinets and equipment

• Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering Technology OR minimum of 2 years of experience in a power or electrical manufacturing environment
• Proficient with voltmeters and current meters
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings
• Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
• Experience using hand tools
• Knowledge of electrical safety practices, PPE, and lock-out/tag-out procedures
• Basic computer skills (Excel, Word, file management)

• Experience with electrical assembly or wiring
• Electrical troubleshooting of components and electronics
• Familiarity with measurement tools
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Basic programming knowledge
• General knowledge of NEC code

• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Manual dexterity to handle tools, components, and controls
• Ability to reach, bend, stoop, kneel, and crouch as needed
• Visual acuity including near, distance, color, and depth perception
• Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 30 pounds occasionally
