Epoxy Coater / Industrial Painter
We are looking for an Epoxy Coater / Industrial Painter to prepare, coat, and finish metal components and enclosures used in high-performance power distribution equipment. This position plays an important role in ensuring finished products meet quality, durability, and appearance standards. The ideal candidate has experience in industrial painting, coating, or a similar manufacturing environment and is comfortable working with hand tools, preparing metal surfaces, and following detailed work instructions.
Responsibilities- Prepare metal parts and components for coating by masking, cleaning, sanding, and bead blasting.
- Mix and apply epoxy and paint using proper ratios, techniques, and procedures.
- Operate dispensing and paint/coating equipment safely and accurately.
- Inspect finished parts for proper coverage, appearance, and defects.
- Read and follow build specifications, safety data sheets (SDS), and digital work instructions.
- Use hand tools and other equipment required for preparation and coating.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area following 5S standards.
- Properly use required PPE and follow all safety procedures.
- Assist with equipment setup, troubleshooting, and process improvements.
- Work closely with other team members to maintain production and quality standards.
- Industrial painting, epoxy coating, or similar manufacturing experience preferred.
- Experience preparing metal surfaces for painting or coating.
- Comfortable using hand tools and working with small parts.
- Ability to follow written instructions, specifications, and safety procedures.
- Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
- Ability to identify defects and maintain consistent quality.
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Willingness to learn new processes and equipment.
- $20–$23/hour, based on experience.
- Monday–Thursday schedule with 3-day weekends.
