Position
Description:
PEM Machine Operator - 2nd Shift The PEM Machine Operator at Layer Zero Power Systems LLC. will be responsible for the fabrication of sheet metal products to customer specifications, ensuring the products meet or exceed expectations. This position will require the set-up and operation of the PEM machine, as well as uploading and executing the programs required to make customer products
Primary Duties:
- Set-up and operate the PEM machines based on the type of PEM style fasteners required for the product being run
- Upload and execute programs as required to make customer products
- Read blueprints to be able to clearly identify the type and number of PEM style fasteners required
- Validate that the parts meet customer specifications
- Execute basic math skills such as inventory counts, parts completed, etc.
- Maintain clean and organized workspace
- Ability to work autonomously and remain on task
- Ability to troubleshoot production problems and communicate to supervisor
- Proficiency in adherence to quality and shop expectations of quality
- Standing for an extended periods of time
Experience &
Skills:
- 1+ year experience operating PEM machines, punch presses, or similar manufacturing equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and understanding of manufacturing processes.
- Proficiency with measurement tools and quality inspection techniques.
Education:
High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade school preferred.
