Maintenance Tech

JOB SUMMARY:

Reports to maintenance manager and is responsible to rebuild or overhaul all types of production and service equipment in the facility. Be able to work on tasks/projects as assigned by the Maintenance Manager. Must comply with all safety, quality, productivity and housekeeping standards.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Work shift coverage with major repair skills on all production equipment.
• Responsible for documenting all work performed and maintenance work orders (MWO's) where necessary.
• Work with other maintenance, process and production personnel as necessary or directed in problem solving of equipment and production issues.
• Monitors parts usage and inventory; ensures efficient utilization of materials to minimize waste and production downtime utilizing MRO/JDE/Maintain X
• Able to fabricate most needed parts or structures using in-house equipment.
• Responsible for effectiveness of Planned Maintenance Programs on equipment
• Lead and organize inside and outside resources to implement projects. Assuring projects are completed within preset parameters.
• Assists in driving safety initiatives and promoting safe behaviors of others
• Ensures efficient operation of production equipment based on schedule and process specifications (i.e. line speed, temperature); maintains product quality though established quality systems to ensure conformance to standards; escalates concerns to maintenance lead.
• All other assignments, general and specific, as directed by Manager
• Safety – Responsible for working safely and following all plant safety rules and policies. Reports unsafe conditions. Wears proper attire and all required PPE.
• In-depth, advanced abilities to, troubleshoot all mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and operational issues such as but not limited to; HVAC, process chilled water systems, heating, automation, extrusion, ECT.
• Ensure the shop is cleaned and maintained, and work bench is organized.
