Position Overview

Drive revenue by providing exceptional client services through relationship building, sharing style/product information, and presenting a clean, safe, well‑maintained store environment. Consistently achieve individual and store goals.

• Consistently meet or exceed divisional, store, and individual financial and credit goals while contributing to the store’s overall goals.

• Provide excellent client service by anticipating needs, exceeding expectations, and adhering to ANN INC. service experience standards.
• Build relationships with clients, create loyalty, and multi‑task while servicing internal and external clients.
• Address client concerns, resolve when possible, and involve management when appropriate.
• Portray a gracious, friendly, energetic, and engaging manner while remaining respectful and professional.
• Solicit and incorporate feedback for professional growth and development; consistently receive positive, unsolicited client feedback.

• Complete opening/closing procedures and tasks such as replenishing merchandise, recovering the store, styling rooms, processing shipments, cleaning, executing merchandising moves, updating marketing, and completing price changes.
• Meet merchandise processing standards and maintain an organized, accessible work area.
• Adhere to Loss Prevention practices and report potential incidents to control shortages and protect company assets.
• Maintain a safe work environment and report potential hazards (e.g., unobstructed exits, ceiling clearance, frayed rugs, spills).
• Participate in stockroom inventory preparation.
• Report work schedule, record time accurately using ANN INC.’s Time and Attendance system, and remain flexible to business needs.
• Follow all ANN INC. operational guidelines, processes, and procedures, and review bulletin boards daily.

• Demonstrate a desire and ability to learn and navigate ANN INC. computer learning systems.
• Perform register transactions quickly and efficiently, including sales, returns, exchanges, and payments.
• Proficiently use Distributed Order Maintenance (DOM) and Style Finder to locate products and process transactions accurately.
• Operate the phone, answering calls with an appropriate greeting, transferring, and placing calls on hold.
• Operate and understand the functions of the PDT Product/Brand Management system.

• Understand and clearly articulate the Company’s brand positioning, current marketing and promotional initiatives, markdowns, POS events, Bounce Back promotions, coupon events, and lifestyle concepts.
• Live the ANN INC. Purpose, Values & Behaviors, and Practices in all interactions.
• Participate in and attend store meetings.
• Proactively use associate education tools to build product and styling knowledge with peers.
• Embrace fashion trends and articulate them using ANN INC. interpretations in every client interaction.
• Represent the brand by adhering to ANN INC.’s dress code guidelines.
• Package and wrap client purchases according to ANN INC. standards.

• Function as a role model, ensuring the client remains the top priority.
• Take initiative to build a loyal client base.

• Prioritize and meet deadlines with minimal supervision and within designated time frames.

• Knowledge of visual standards and techniques, and ability to implement and maintain with ANN INC.’s guidelines.

• Communicate effectively with clients, management, business partners, and store associates.

• Handle cash and provide change without error.

• Maintain flexibility in scheduling that meets the needs of the business.

• Lift and carry up to 20 pounds occasionally.
• Maneuver effectively around sales floor and stockroom.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum one year sales associate or relevant service industry experience with proven results.
