Responsibilities
- Providing exceptional client services and operating as Manager on Duty in the absence of a manager.
- Performing operational and transactional functions, handling client service issues, issuing approvals for desk transactions, and opening/closing the store.
- Referring duties requiring managerial experience or approval to the Store Manager, such as disciplinary action, hiring, and terminating associates.
- Embracing company values and setting an exemplary example through behavior.
- Ensuring compliance with all Ann Inc. practices and procedures.
- Executing additional responsibilities assigned by the Store Manager or Co‑Manager.
- Supporting the Store Manager and Co‑Manager in overseeing the store’s operational functioning, including business strategy and goal attainment.
- Driving revenue by proactively managing the client experience while effectively performing Manager on Duty responsibilities.
- Utilizing tools to foster a client‑focused team environment.
- Anticipating client needs and communicating store metrics and individual performance to motivate associates.
- Coaching associates in the moment on client interactions and performance to maximize productivity.
- Performing opening and closing procedures, managing keys, bank deposits, and other operational tasks in the absence of management.
- Using reports to make effective merchandising decisions and styling the store to Division standards.
- Assessing and acting to drive operational excellence through Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Ensuring optimal coverage and productivity across all store areas through appropriate scheduling.
- Completing daily tasks to keep the store running smoothly and meeting all Ann Inc. standards and guidelines.
- Recording time worked accurately via the Ann Inc. Time and Attendance system and remaining flexible to business needs.
- Understanding current fashion trends and articulating them with Ann Inc. interpretations during client interactions.
- Adhering to Ann Inc. dress code guidelines when representing the brand.
- Treating others fairly and with respect, valuing differences.
- Client Service

Ensures that the client remains the top priority while balancing required tasks and overall store operations. - Store Operations and Organization
:
Ability to organize, delegate, prioritize assignments, and meet deadlines. - Merchandising
:
Knowledge of visual standards and techniques, and ability to implement and maintain them according to Ann Inc. guidelines. - Accuracy
:
Ability to handle cash and provide change without error, prepare nightly deposits, and capture accurate transaction information. - Communication
:
Communicates effectively with clients, management, business partners, and associates. - Schedule
:
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evening and weekend shifts. - Physical
:
Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds occasionally and maneuver around the sales floor, stock room, and office. - Educational Requirements and Experience
:- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum six months experience as a Sales Associate with Ann Inc. or equivalent retail experience in an associate or higher role.
- Part‑time or full‑time managerial experience preferred.
