Lift Operator

Ashley The Wellsville Group is seeking a safety-focused Lift Operator to support warehouse and retail operations in our home furnishings environment. In this role, you'll operate forklifts and lift equipment to load, unload, move, and stage furniture and mattresses, ensuring accurate inventory flow from dock to showroom. Responsibilities include equipment inspections, safe material handling, order staging for delivery and pickup, basic furniture assembly support, and maintaining a clean, organized, and hazard-free workspace.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts and lift equipment to safely load, unload, move, and stage furniture and mattresses in the warehouse and showroom areas.
• Inspect lift equipment before use, follow safety protocols, and immediately report any mechanical or safety issues to management.
• Accurately receive, scan, and organize inbound shipments to maintain inventory accuracy and support store sales needs.
• Prepare and stage customer orders for pickup and delivery, ensuring items are protected and correctly labeled.
• Assist with furniture assembly, wrapping, and movement to support merchandising and store presentation standards.
• Work closely with sales, operations, and logistics teams to coordinate product flow and meet customer delivery timelines.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free warehouse and dock area in compliance with company and OSHA guidelines.
• Follow all company policies, security procedures, and documentation requirements related to inventory and equipment use.
• Support cycle counts and periodic inventory audits to help minimize shrink and improve stock accuracy.
• Provide helpful, professional assistance to drivers, vendors, and internal team members to support a positive, customer-focused environment.
