Junior Governmental Accountant

About the Role:

CKH is seeking a junior accountant for our government accounting department. We will trust you to:

• Assist local municipalities in identifying and resolving bookkeeping issues.
• Travel to client sites as needed across GA, SC, and FL.
• Reconcile bank, balance inter‑fund accounts
• Ensure client is audit ready by reviewing trial balance and preparing the necessary PBC schedules for multiple clients

• Great understanding of accounting (double entries)
• Solid communication skills
• Willingness to learn and problem solve
• Ability to work independently (self‑starter)
• B.A./B.S. in Accounting
• GASB and GAAP
• 1+ year of experience
