Job Description:

The Accountant is a full-time, on-site role based in Austell, GA, responsible for managing daily financial transactions and supporting overall business decision-making. Day-to-day tasks include processing accounts payable and receivable, recording journal entries, reconciling bank and general ledger accounts, and maintaining accurate financial records. The role also involves preparing financial statements and reports, assisting with budgeting and forecasting, and supporting month-end and year-end close processes.

The Accountant will help ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and company policies, collaborate with operations and management to analyze costs and margins, and respond to internal and external inquiries regarding financial data. This position requires consistent on-site collaboration with the team to support a family-oriented, customer-centered environment.

Core Responsibilities

  • Candidates should possess strong core accounting skills, including general ledger maintenance, journal entry preparation, account reconciliation, and financial statement preparation.
  • Candidates should possess skills in accounts payable and accounts receivable management, invoicing, billing, and cash application to support daily transactional accuracy.
  • Candidates should possess skills in managing travel, marketing and R&D expenses by customer
  • Candidates should possess skills in managing cash reports and cash flow projections as well as sales reports year over year and month over month by customer.
  • Candidates should possess skills in budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, cost analysis, and financial reporting to support management decision-making in a manufacturing environment.
  • Candidates should possess proficiency with Quick Books accounting software, as well as strong Excel skills (e.g., formulas, pivot tables) for data analysis and reporting.
  • Candidates should possess attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize multiple deadlines while maintaining accurate records, including meticulous record keeping of current and historical financial records.
  • Candidates should possess clear written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with operations, management, and external partners.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in Accounting or Business Administration
  • Minimum three (3) years of related experience
  • Great organizational, problem-solving, multitasking, and planning skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Microsoft Excel and Quick Books experience
  • Strong oral, written, and follow up communications skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

-Base wage from $65,000 to $85,000 per year commensurate with experience.

-Monday through Friday schedule, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM.
