Staff Accountant - Manufacturer

A Industrial Machine Distributor is seeking a Staff Accountant to join their team near Austell, GA
. This is Full-Time/ Direct-Hire Onsite role with comprehensive benefit package.

• Handle monthly closing, annual reporting, billing, collections, budget preparation, accounts receivable, payable functions, and analyzing etc.
• Receive cash and checks and make deposits
• Oversee routine accounting responsibilities such as inventory management, cost accounting, etc.
• Understand internal control policies, guidelines, and procedures for activities such as budget administration, cash, credit management, and accounting
• Prepare financial statements, business activity reports, financial position forecasts, annual budgets, or reports required by regulatory agencies
• Analyze the financial details of past, present, and expected operations to identify development opportunities and areas where improvement is needed
• Monitor financial activities and details, such as cash flow and reserve levels
• Develop and maintain relationships with banking, insurance, and other organizational accounting personnel to facilitate financial activities
• Perform other related duties as necessary or assigned

• Bachelors in Accounting or Finance
• Minimum 2 years Accounting experience preferably in manufacturing industry
• Good math skills and the ability to spot numerical errors
• Hands-on experience with MS Excel and accounting software (Quick Books, Sage etc.), SAP experience will be plus
• Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information
• While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift up to 25 pounds, lift in excess of 25 pounds with a lift assist, climb stairs, use hands to handle or feel parts/equipment, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend at the waist, talk and hear. You may also be required to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision.
