Responsibilities
  • The Vice President of Business Development reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer (COO) and leads our market expansion across all lines of business, including rehabilitation, respiratory, and pediatric services. The Vice President of Business Development is a strategic and hands‑on leader who leads our business development function, with a relationship‑driven approach that will secure new partnerships and support profitability. The Vice President, Business Development is a visionary who develops and executes a comprehensive growth strategy, while also serving as a key member of our Executive Leadership Team.
  • Growth Strategy Development and Execution:
    Leads the creation and execution of a robust business development strategy, with a focus on securing new contracts with independently owned facilities (e.g., SNFs, ALF's, outpatient clinics, and hospitals).
  • New Business Development:
    Generates and qualifies new business leads through a variety of tactics, including market analysis, targeted outreach, trade show representation, and relationship‑building.
  • Sales Cycle Management:
    Oversees the entire business development process, from initial contact and proposal development to contract negotiation and new business start‑up coordination.
  • Function Leadership and Development:
    Establishes a high‑performing business development function that emphasizes a relationship‑first approach. This includes developing and managing our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) function to ensure all activities are tracked and nurtured. Educates and trains internal stakeholders on essential skills such as lead generation, networking, and successful closure to foster a company‑wide culture of growth.
  • Brand Representation:
    Represents Powerback in a professional and engaging manner at industry events, through professional association memberships, and in all public relations activities.
  • Collaboration and Consultation:
    Is a member of the Executive Leadership Team, collaborates on the execution of our business plan. works closely with the COO and other senior leaders to align business development efforts with company goals and support a seamless transition for new partners.
  • Financial Performance Attainment:
    Meets and exceeds annual new business and revenue goals, actively participates in the preparation of the annual new business budget.
  • Performs other related duties as required.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related healthcare field is required.
  • A minimum of five years of direct healthcare sales, business development, or rehabilitation experience with a proven track record of achieving sales goals.
  • Thorough knowledge of Medicare and other third‑party reimbursement models is strongly preferred.
