Business Development Manager | Bioplastics
Join a Fast-Growing Bioplastics Company as an Business Development Manager in Houston, TX
George Thomas Executive Search is seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager to support sales and drive growth for an innovative bioplastics company launching a new manufacturing facility in the US by 2028.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and maintain strong customer relationships to ensure satisfaction and retention.
- Establish a robust network with brand owners and industry stakeholders.
- Identify and secure business opportunities, selling contracts for future facility operations.
- Collaborate with global teams to coordinate seamless operational processes.
- 8+ years of commercial experience in the plastics industry.
- Expertise in Bioplastics such as Bio Meg and BioMPG.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Chemicals, or a related field.
- Fluency in English;
Spanish is a bonus. - Strong understanding of sustainability practices and carbon footprint reduction.
Skills:
- Thorough knowledge of the global bioplastics and biochemicals market.
- Exceptional negotiation and leadership abilities.
- Proactive problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
- Excellent relationship-building and communication abilities.
- Competitive salary from $100,000 to $135,000
- $40,000 performance-based bonus
- Comprehensive benefits including family healthcare, 15 days holiday, and 401K with 9% match
- Hybrid model: 3 days a week in the Houston, TX office
