Business Title- Demand Planning Manager
The Demand Planning Manager is responsible for leading and overseeing the demand planning process for ASP GLOBAL LLC. This includes developing and maintaining a robust demand forecast, collaborating with sales, marketing, and operations teams, and ensuring the company has the right products in the right quantities at the right time. This role plays a critical part in optimizing inventory levels, minimizing stockouts, and maximizing customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain a rolling demand forecast using statistical modeling, historical data, market trends, and input from sales, marketing, and other relevant stakeholders.
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to understand promotional activities, new product launches, and other initiatives that may impact demand.
- Analyze historical sales data, market trends, and other relevant information to identify patterns and develop accurate forecasts.
- Utilize statistical forecasting models and software to generate demand projections.
- Regularly review and update the demand forecast based on actual sales data, market changes, and other relevant factors.
- Communicate demand forecasts to relevant stakeholders, including operations, procurement, and finance teams.
- Collaborate with supply planning and inventory management teams to ensure alignment between demand and supply.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to forecast accuracy, inventory levels, and customer service levels.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance demand planning effectiveness and efficiency.
- Develop and maintain documentation related to demand planning processes and procedures.
- Stay informed about industry best practices and emerging trends in demand planning.
- Provide support and training to other team members on demand planning principles and tools.
- Participate in cross-functional projects related to supply chain optimization and business planning.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in demand planning or a related field.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing successful demand planning processes.
- Experience with demand planning software and statistical modeling techniques.
- Experience collaborating with sales, marketing, and operations teams.
- Experience in the manufacturing industry preferred.
