Viridan Group is seeking experienced Construction Superintendents specializing in civil site development to oversee Infrastructure projects throughout the state. This role focuses primarily on site preparation, grading, and concrete foundation work.
Key Responsibilities- Civil & Site Oversight: Oversee contractor execution of site clearing, erosion control, grading, excavation, and structural concrete pouring (foundations, pads, and piers).
- Asset & Material Security: Manage the logistics, documentation, and security of Viridan assets and materials utilized on-site.
- Stakeholder Liaison: Serve as the primary field contact for landowners, local authorities, utility customers, and internal teams; promptly report and resolve field issues or community concerns.
- Regulatory & Quality Compliance: Conduct rigorous safety, environmental (SWPPP), and final civil inspections to ensure all work meets project specifications.
- Technical Interpretation: Read and precisely interpret engineering drawings, civil site plans, structural concrete schematics, permits, plats, and property maps.
- Documentation: Maintain a detailed daily journal, compile technical data for project stakeholders, and complete all required electronic project documentation.

Consult with design and civil engineers to ensure precise execution of the project design and troubleshoot unforeseen subsurface or terrain challenges.
- Industry
Experience:
Proven track record supervising civil construction, deep foundations, concrete prep, and earthwork specifically for utility‑scale power, transmission, or heavy industrial projects. - Technical Proficiency: Strong ability to read and interpret civil, structural, and grading blueprints to ensure everything is built strictly to specification.
- Travel Readiness: Ability and willingness to accommodate overnight statewide travel.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Solid understanding of OSHA standards, NESC guidelines, and environmental/erosion control (SWPPP) regulations.
- Documentation
Skills:
Disciplined approach to maintaining daily digital logs, progress photos, and material tracking. - Logistics & Legal: Must be a U.S. citizen with a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
