Position: SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGER

JOB SUMMARY
:

The Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for the efficient operations of the Supply Chain department. This individual should have the ability to evaluate emerging technology and implement changes and enhancements as needed for day-to-day purchasing and supply chain functions. This person will need to work closely with and communicate effectively with all departments. Previous experience supervising a team is required.

The job requires the individual to be a team player with the ability to function well in a challenging and fast paced environment. Must be enthusiastic, positive, even-tempered and have strong skills in areas of dependability, interpersonal relationships, flexibility and professionalism.

EDUCATION, CREDENTIALS & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, economics or a related field is preferred. Experience in lieu of the preferred education level will be considered.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience is required.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in procurement, contracting, or supply chain operations required.
  • Experience in procurement, contracting, or supply chain operations in healthcare is preferred.
  • Experience in project management preferred.
  • Knowledge of contract management preferred.
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
:
  • Performs all job responsibilities in alignment with the mission and vision of the organization.
  • Performs other duties as required and completes all job functions as per departmental policies and procedures.
  • Maintains current knowledge in present areas of responsibility (i.e., self-education, attends ongoing educational programs).
  • Attends staff meetings and completes mandatory in-services and requirements and competency evaluations on time.
  • Wears protective clothing and equipment as appropriate.
GENERAL SKILLS
:
  • Ability to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Additional languages preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal skills.
  • Basic Computer Skills
WORKING CONDITIONS
:
  • General environment:
    Works in a well-lighted, air-conditioned area, with moderate noise levels.
  • May be exposed to high noise levels and bright lights.

  • Continuously within shift (67-100%):
    Standing, Walking.
  • Frequently within shift (34-66%):
    Bending/Stooping, Pushing/Pulling, Lift/carry up to 20lbs, Lift/carry greater than 20 lbs. with assistance.
  • Occasionally within shift (1-33%):
    Sitting, Climbing, Twist at waist, Lift/Carry greater than 50 lbs. with assistance, Reaching above shoulder.

JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES

  • Provide support and oversight of all aspects of Supply Chain Operations, including purchasing, receiving, delivery, contracting, inventory management, and warehouse operations.
  • Assist Supply Chain Director in all aspects of personnel oversight and management for the department.
  • Lead, manage, and participate in projects on behalf of the Supply Chain Department from initial engagement and research through completion.
  • Serve as contact person for the implementation of all software enhancements for Supply Chain department.
  • Review all Supply Chain processes, policies, and procedures to make recommendations for increased efficiency and effectiveness, as well as transitioning to fewer paper-based processes.
