PRN Respiratory Therapist II

Role: Respiratory Therapist II responsible for delivering complex respiratory care, medication administration, and patient assessments in critical care settings.

• Provide patient care through assessment, therapy planning, and execution, including ventilator management, airway procedures, and arterial blood gas sampling.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement care plans, ensuring quality and safety standards.
• Educate patients, families, and support systems, promoting understanding and compliance.
• Mentor and precept new staff, students, and peers to foster professional development.
• Maintain accurate documentation, promote evidence-based practices, and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
• Support invasive and non-invasive procedures, pulmonary diagnostics, and cardiac-related tasks as needed.

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy.
• Certifications:
  
  NBRC-RRT, RCP, BLS, and ACLS, all required upon hire.
• 0-2 years of clinical experience with at least 6 months in critical care.
• Strong communication, critical thinking, customer service, assessment, and computer skills.

Ability to work independently with significant decision-making authority, demonstrating professionalism and a commitment to quality patient care.
