PRN Respiratory Therapist II – Non-NICU Nights @ Cobb Hospital

Role:
Respiratory Therapist II responsible for delivering complex respiratory care, medication administration, and patient assessments, primarily in critical care settings.

Key Duties:

• Perform patient assessments, verify orders, and administer aerosolized medications, oxygen, and gas therapies.
• Manage ventilators, including weaning, waveform interpretation, and airway management (intubation, extubation, trach care).
• Conduct arterial blood gas sampling and analysis.
• Educate patients and support system, mentor new staff and students, and participate in staff development activities.
• Collaborate with healthcare team to plan and provide high-quality, safe patient care.
• Promote performance improvement, evidence-based practice, and a safe environment.
• Ensure accurate documentation, electronic order management, and compliance with policies.

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy.
• Certifications:
  
  NBRC-RRT, Respiratory Care Professional, BLS, ACLS.
• 0-2 years clinical experience, with at least 6 months in critical care.
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills; computer proficiency.
