Registered Respiratory Therapist – Night Shift

Summary:

This position involves leading and overseeing the daily activities of a clinical shift, ensuring the safe and effective delivery of patient care. The role includes serving as a clinical resource, supporting staff, physicians, and patients through direct care, medication administration, and equipment management. It also entails facilitating onboarding, training, and professional development, as well as promoting quality improvement, safety, and customer service initiatives.

• Lead shift operations by analyzing patient needs, assigning tasks, and ensuring safe care delivery.
• Coordinate interdisciplinary communication and patient discharge planning.
• Evaluate staff performance and provide feedback to supervisors.
• Manage equipment resources, monitor inventory, and support staff training and orientation.
• Maintain current knowledge of patient care standards and participate in process improvements.
• Conduct patient rounds to assess care quality and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Support safety, quality, and customer service initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.

• Associates or Bachelors in Respiratory Therapy preferred.
• Required certifications include BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, and NBRC-RRT or RCP.
• Minimum of two years of clinical experience in critical care settings such as ICU, CVICU, NICU, or Emergency Departments.
• Strong leadership, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to utilize independent judgment and promote a safe, patient-centered environment.
