Position Summary
The Banquet Server is responsible for the set up and serving of food and beverages to guests at all banquet functions according to the hotel standards.

Essential Job Functions- Greet guests in a friendly, courteous and attentive manner
- Listens and responds to guest’s needs
- Know how to read a banquet event order
- Must be familiar with the menu and assigned function
- Set up banquet space in accordance with banquet event order
- Maintain clean working area
- Serve guests according to hotel’s standards
- Clean up banquet space after the completion of event or function
- Ensure all banquet items are stored and put away properly and clean
- Returns to the table throughout the guest’s visit to ask if they are satisfied, check for refills, clear items as needed from the table
- Assist bartenders or other servers as needed
- Performs side duties such as cleaning, rolling silverware, setting tables, sweeping, etc
- Complies with all health and safety regulations
Previous experience as server, busser, runner, host(ess)
Understanding of banquet terminology and/or setup
Certifications as required by Federal, State, or Local agencies
Serv Safe, TIPS Certification
Minimum High school diploma, GED or equivalent
