About the Opportunity
KP Reddy Company (KPR Co) is the AEC industry’s leading voice on technology transformation, innovation, and the future of the built environment. Through a powerful combination of curated industry events, media and content (including the #1 AEC podcast, a 40,000+ subscriber newsletter, and a growing research library), membership communities (Mastermind groups, the Integrated Owners Forum, and Catalyst network), and professional services, KPR Co convenes, educates, and advises the leaders shaping the future of architecture, engineering, and construction.
KPR Co also supports a portfolio of AEC businesses by connecting them directly to the industry’s most engaged community of leaders and decision‑makers. Through sponsor ships, program integrations, and marketing support, KPR Co helps partner businesses build brand awareness, generate leads, and test their positioning with the right audiences.
We are seeking a General Manager to run KPR Co’s day‑to‑day operations and grow the business sustainably. This is a hands‑on operator role—owning the P&L across events, memberships, and media while driving audience growth and deepening community engagement.
This is a hands‑on, individual contributor role—supported by an excellent sales team that follows up on marketing‑generated leads and handles the initial sales pitch before handing off to you to close. There is a clear path to building a team around this role as the company continues to grow.
Key Responsibilities – P&L Ownership & Sustainable Growth- Own the KPR Co P&L with accountability for maintaining profitability (targeting a 10% margin) across all business lines: events, memberships, and media/content. The goal is a self‑sustaining business, not a cash cow—audience growth and engagement depth matter more than margin maximization.
- Develop and execute growth strategies for each business line—with emphasis on growing audience size, membership numbers, and event attendance while maintaining cost coverage through sponsor ships and memberships.
- Build and manage a revenue forecasting cadence; provide regular financial reporting and variance analysis to leadership.
- Identify new revenue opportunities—including partnerships, licensing, digital products, and sponsorship packages—and bring recommendations to leadership.
- Manage A/R effectively: ensure timely invoicing, collections, and healthy cash flow.
- Oversee planning, execution, and P&L for KPR Co’s event portfolio:
The Quarterly summits, IOF forums, workshops, partner events, and any new event formats. - Lead the sponsorship sales process—developing packages, managing sponsor relationships, and ensuring sponsor deliverables are met.
- Manage and grow membership programs including Mastermind groups (6 tiers), Integrated Owners Forum, Integrated Partners, and Catalyst—with a focus on increasing total membership numbers, deepening member engagement, and improving the overall member experience.
- Ensure events and community programs serve as lead generation and brand‑building engines for KPR Co and its sponsor partners.
- Manage event budgets, vendor relationships, and production logistics.
- Operationalise the content and media production pipeline: KP Reddy will continue to write and host the podcast, but you will own the scheduling, production workflow, distribution, and publishing cadence across all channels—podcast, newsletter/Substack, blog, video, and social media. Much of this is already automated; the role is to ensure it runs smoothly and continues to improve.
- Drive audience growth across all channels—growing the subscriber base, podcast listenership, and social following as measurable KPIs.
- Manage content‑related revenue streams including sponsor ships and advertising—ensuring the media platform covers its costs while prioritising audience growth and engagement quality.
- Ensure the production engine runs independently of KP’s direct involvement in logistics—he focuses on creating, you ensure everything around his content gets produced, published, and distributed on time.
- Coordinate content that amplifies sponsor brands and supports their go‑to‑market…
