Position Summary

Provide supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates by hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, setting expectations, recognizing achievements and promoting a belonging mindset in the workplace.

Coordinate, complete and oversee job‑related activities by developing relationships with key stakeholders, supporting plans and initiatives, identifying goals, building accountability, measuring progress, addressing improvement opportunities and adapting to change.

Lead and develop teams effectively by teaching, training, actively listening, touring stores, providing feedback (Tour‑to‑Teach), collaborating with all levels of associates, utilizing technology, business initiatives, merchandising, and company direction; introduce and lead change efforts, guide implementation of business solutions, and communicate objectives.

Model and demonstrate exceptional customer service standards, manage customer service initiatives, resolve customer needs and complaints, implement action plans, and provide process‑improvement leadership to ensure a high‑quality customer experience.

Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, support the corporate mission, values and ethics, implement action plans, utilize the Open Door Policy, and guide the application of these principles in business processes.

Drive the financial performance and sales of the designated store area by reviewing P&L statements, managing and assisting in budgeting, forecasting and controlling expenses, monitoring merchandise presentation and operational processes, and developing action plans to reduce shrink and meet sales and profit goals.

Foster a culture of inclusion, teamwork, integrity, customer focus and excellence by respecting individual differences, building strong relationships, encouraging mentorship, maintaining high ethical standards, and continually improving performance.

Responsibilities
  • Hire, train, mentor and develop hourly associates.
  • Assign duties, set clear expectations and recognize performance.
  • Build accountability, measure progress, and address improvement opportunities.
  • Lead teams through teaching, feedback tours and direct collaboration.
  • Model outstanding customer service and resolve issues proactively.
  • Maintain compliance with policies, values, and ethics.
  • Analyze and improve P&L results, budgeting, and operational processes.
  • Promote a culture of belonging, integrity, customer focus, and continuous learning.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2years of college, or 1year retail experience + 1year supervisory experience, or 2years general work experience + 1year supervisory experience.
  • For facilities that sell firearms: successful completion of a firearms‑specific Criminal Background Check (CBC) and Firearms Authorized Training.
  • For facilities that sell ammunition with state‑specific requirements: current state‑issued Certificate of Eligibility.
  • Attend and complete all required job trainings and assessments, including Academy trainings, Open Door trainings, and other mandatory sessions.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership (Live Better U and Bellevue University).
  • Certificate of Completion in People and Business Leadership (Live Better U and Bellevue University).
  • Experience supervising five or more direct reports with responsibilities for performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.

Salary and Compensation

Annual salary range: $65,000.00 – $. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Certain positions may also receive Regional Pay Zone and Complex Structure allowances based on external factors.
