Location:
Banks, AL – Feed Mill
Must be willing to complete all required training for the job and perform any other duties assigned. Applicants must have the ability to work swing shifts (1st/2nd/3rd). The schedule is set to change depending on facility needs.
Responsibilities- Troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.
- Provide troubleshooting and repair of any mechanical malfunction.
- Prepare written documentation of actions taken to correct equipment problems.
- Respond to mechanical or electrical breakdowns and handle emergency situations.
- Perform preventive maintenance according to schedule.
- Complete appropriate paperwork and reports.
- Must comply with lockout/tagout, confined space, and all other safety programs.
- Must be able to perform mechanical and basic electrical troubleshooting and repairs.
- Able to perform diagnosis and repairs without supervision.
- Capable of starting all equipment before production startup and shutdown without supervision.
- Ability to assist with other mechanics as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements
Work in temperature that will vary with outside ambient temperatures and humidity. It can be dusty, warm, cold, and/or humid. The physical requirements will include standing, walking, bending, stretching, climbing, pushing, pulling, stooping and the ability to climb ladders, lifts, and scaffolds. Lifting will also be required and depending on department could be up to 70 lbs.
Qualifications- Minimum 2 years of maintenance experience or graduate of industrial maintenance training program or combination of experience and education.
- Basic computer skills with knowledge in Word and Excel.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills are critical.
- Must be able to understand and agree to follow safety rules.
- Rehire consideration: 180 day waiting period; 3 time max rehire rule.

2ND SHIFT (United States of America). - Hourly applicants only.
