Description:

The RN Clinical Periop Nurse is a proactive member of an interdisciplinary team of licensed and unlicensed caregivers.
They ensure that patients, families, and significant others receive individualized high-quality, safe patient care.
Clinical practice is administered by Nurse Managers and supported through a shared governance model.
Nursing practice is guided by professional nursing models and evidence-based practice.
RN competencies are derived from these models and supported by core competencies.
All RN Clinical Nurses are expected to be licensed, knowledgeable, and uphold the practice of nursing.
They implement the Scope of Practice and Code of Ethics Standards put forth by the American Nurses Association.
As a member of the patient services team, the RN upholds the voice of the patient while supporting service excellence goals.

Essential Functions:

Performs the Nursing Process including assessment, diagnosis, identification of outcomes, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
Uses evidence-based practice and analytical critical thinking to ensure individualized care.
