This temporary assignment is a travel position supporting inpatient medical-surgical care, staffed by an interdisciplinary team and governed by a structured practice framework. The RN will provide patient-centered care, collaborate with licensed and unlicensed teammates, and uphold professional nursing standards and ethics as outlined by state regulations and national practice guidelines.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver direct patient care within the medical-surgical unit, assessing and monitoring patient status.
  • Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and hospital policies.
  • Develop and update individualized patient care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
  • Document care, assessments, and outcomes accurately in the electronic health record.
  • Educate patients and families about diagnoses, care plans, and discharge instructions; advocate for patient safety and comfort.
  • Participate in rounds, care conferences, and quality‑improvement initiatives as part of the care team.
Requirements
  • Active RN license in the state of Georgia
  • Practice aligned with the Georgia Professional Nurse Practice Act and applicable American Nurses Association standards
  • Ability to work in a hospital inpatient setting and participate in a 3x12-hour shift pattern
  • Demonstrated competence in adult medical-surgical nursing and basic patient assessment
  • Willingness to adhere to evidence‑based practice and organizational professional‑practice standards
