  Based on 10‑hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation); tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.

• Assist physicians and medical staff in caring for surgical patients, providing pre‑ and post‑surgery care and education.
• Serve as the communication liaison between patients’ families and the operating team.
• Ensure the correct procedure is performed on the correct patient.
• Provide basic bedside care.
• Prepare, administer, and record prescribed medication; report any adverse reactions.
• Initiate patient education plan as prescribed by the physician.
• Circulating OR Nurse duties: respond to comfort and safety needs, handle specimens accurately, monitor equipment, inventory surgical items pre‑ and post‑procedure.
• Scrub OR Nurse duties: select and handle surgical instruments and supplies during procedures; inventory items pre‑ and post‑procedure.
• RN First Assistant duties: deliver direct surgical care, control bleeding, suture patients after surgery.

• BLS and PALS certification required; 5+ years of experience.
• Recent acute care experience as circulating or scrub nurse and/or RN first assistant.
• Additional certifications may be required before assignment.

• Stand and walk for long periods; bend, lean, stoop without difficulty.
• Easily lift 20 pounds; lifting or moving patients may require up to 50 pounds.
• Exposure to certain chemicals or infectious diseases in the operating room environment.
