Role Overview

The registered nurse provides comprehensive patient care in a clinical setting, performing procedures requiring independent judgment, critical thinking, and technical skills. Responsibilities include pre and post-procedure care, administering contrast and conscious sedation, sterile technique, IV management, patient preparation, and ensuring safety protocols. The nurse addresses age-specific needs, educates patients and families, and collaborates with physicians for case reviews. Additional duties involve maintaining departmental records, ensuring compliance with regulations, and supporting quality and safety initiatives.

Flexibility with hours and cross-department support are essential.

Qualifications & Skills
  • Associates or Bachelor's Nursing degree
  • Current ACLS, BLS certifications
  • Minimum 3 years experience in Interventional Radiology, ICU, CCU, ER, or Cath Lab
  • Proficiency in moderate sedation, sterile techniques, and vascular procedures
  • Strong communication, critical thinking, time management, and customer service skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and respond effectively to emergencies
Key Duties
  • Perform diverse clinical procedures with independent judgment
  • Ensure patient safety and verify identification and orders
  • Educate patients and families about procedures and post-care
  • Support departmental quality, compliance, and record-keeping
  • Assist in cross-departmental tasks and staff training as needed
