Role:
The RN Clinical Periop Nurse provides high-quality, safe, patient-centered care in the operating room for general surgery, collaborating within an interdisciplinary team.
Responsibilities:Performs the nursing process, delivers relationship-based care, coordinates care, participates in performance improvement, and supports evidence-based practice. Engages in professional development, mentoring, and research activities, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and standards.
Qualifications:Requires an Associate or Bachelor's degree in Nursing, RN licensure (single or multi-state), BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications, and a minimum of 5 years of direct patient care experience.
Skills:Critical thinking, teamwork, effective communication, adaptability to cultural diversity, and knowledge of clinical standards.
Key duties:Assessing patients, planning and implementing care, documenting accurately, participating in protocols, and supporting system-wide quality initiatives.
