- Instructor or ACLS-P - ACLS-Provisional within 180 days Must-Have:
Ability to read, write, and speak the English language; strong interpersonal and collaborative skills; and excellent time management skills.
Description:
The RN Clinical Nurse Critical Care is a proactive member of an interdisciplinary team. The goal is to ensure that patients, families, and significant others receive individualized high-quality, safe patient care. Clinical practice is governed by Nurse Managers and other leaders. Care is implemented using evidence-based practice and research. RN competencies are aligned with professional practice standards and values. The RN Clinical Nurse must be knowledgeable and uphold the practice of nursing as defined by the state's Professional Nurse Practice Act.
The individual is expected to implement the Scope of Practice and Code of Ethics. As part of the patient services team, the RN Clinical Nurse must uphold patient voice and system policies. Core Responsibilities and
Essential Functions:
The RN performs the Nursing Process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Care is individualized through analytical and critical thinking. Relationship-based patient-centered care is provided, adapted to reflect cultural diversity. The RN partners with patients and significant others to keep them informed and involved in care planning. Quality and safe patient care is coordinated through inclusive communication methods. The RN demonstrates teamwork and collaboration fiscally responsible to promote retention of healthcare team members.
Participation in performance improvement initiatives is expected, with a focus on safe, quality patient care. Professional development includes ongoing competency assessments and education. The RN serves as a mentor or preceptor to enhance the workforce. Evidence-based practice and nursing research are promoted, ensuring adherence to organizational policies and standards. The RN participates in data collection and consults experts to address clinical questions.
Efficient planning for patient care across the continuum is a key responsibility. Collaboration is essential in developing protocols to achieve best practice outcomes. Support for effective use of human and material resources is expected. Additional duties may be assigned as needed.
