The Registered Nurse (RN) in this role provides high-quality, patient-centered care within a cardiac telemetry Med Surg unit.
As a proactive member of an interdisciplinary team, the RN performs the Nursing Process—assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation—using evidence-based practices to deliver individualized care.
Key responsibilities include fostering relationship-based care, engaging patients and families, ensuring safety, and practicing according to clinical standards and ethical guidelines.
They coordinate care through effective communication, documentation, and collaboration, supporting performance improvement initiatives, research, and shared governance.
The role emphasizes professional development, serving as a preceptor or mentor, and promoting a culture of safety and excellence.
Qualifications include an Associates or Diploma in Nursing (Bachelor's preferred), valid RN licensure, and Basic Life Support certification. Prior direct patient care experience is preferred.
