Role Overview:
The RN Clinical Periop Nurse provides high-quality, safe patient care in the operating room as part of an interdisciplinary team. They utilize evidence-based practices, perform comprehensive assessments, and develop individualized care plans while engaging patients and families in care delivery.
Responsibilities:Deliver relationship-based, patient-centered care that respects cultural diversity; coordinate and document safe, quality care; support performance improvement and research activities; serve as a preceptor or mentor; promote evidence-based practice; and ensure compliance with policies, standards, and accreditation requirements.
Qualifications & Skills:Requires a nursing associate's or bachelor's degree, valid RN licensure (single or multi-state), BLS certification, and a minimum of five years of direct patient care experience. Demonstrates strong critical thinking, teamwork, communication, and leadership abilities.
Key Duties:Perform nursing processes (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, evaluation); partner with patients and team members; participate in protocol development; support resource management; and uphold professional standards and ethics.
