Quality Control Body Exterior

Body quality control engineering position shall study and understand car body parts and process, to enhance body quality while meeting internal and external customer requirements.

• Inspect incoming/raw materials and assemblies to make quality decision.
• Investigate and analyze defective products and develop countermeasure.
• Establish short-term/long-term measures to ensure smooth production.
• Collaborate with HMC visitors for quality improvement during new project development stage.
• Enhance suppliers’ quality level by conducting Supplier Process Audit (SPA) and reviewing their products, tools, and systems periodically.
• Participate/lead BIW audit sharing inspection results with suppliers and HMGMA engineers to request and discuss improvement plan.
• Manage assigned products to meet internal/external customer requirements.
• Improve efficiency of quality control management system by learning and applying new technology, knowledge, and equipment.
• Ensure the adequacy of relevant procedures and systems in accordance to specification and applicable legal requirements.
• Meet all other requirements as assigned.

While in Office:
This position is primarily sedentary and requires working at a desk and computer for extended periods. Responsibilities may include:

• Occasional lifting of office supplies (up to 15 pounds)
• Frequent use of hands and fingers for typing and handling documents
• Ability to sit, stand, and walk within the office environment as needed.

When in Production Area (if applicable):

• Standing, walking, bending, and reaching for extended durations
• Repeated lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling of materials and products (up to 25–30 pounds)
• Manual dexterity for handling power tools, machinery, or production equipment
• Working in environments that may be noisy, hot, or require the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Ability to climb ladders or stairs and operate equipment safely and effectively
• Capability to learn and work on multiple production processes, as required
• Adequate visual and auditory abilities to identify safety hazards and communicate clearly
• Consistent and punctual attendance
• Ability to collaborate and perform effectively in a team-oriented environment
