Produce Clerk - Houston-Willowbrook

Responsibilities

Under direct supervision of the Produce Manager, the Produce Clerk provides customer service, assists customers, cleans, fills, and rotates the perishable (produce) displays.

Must be able to lift 50 lbs, bend, stand, and stoop for prolonged periods. The working environment is typical for a fast‑paced grocery store and includes physical functions such as lifting, standing, walking, kneeling, and visual and auditory requirements.

• Read and write Spanish/English, interact with the general public and co‑workers.
• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos.
• Effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees.
• Apply common sense to carry out detailed but uncomplicated written or oral instructions.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently up to 45 pounds, and occasionally up to 60 pounds.
• Basic PC/Outlook skills.
• Retail Management Certificate (desired).
