Overview

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Identify profitable sales opportunities and maintain high responsiveness and follow-up to customer needs
- Develop a full understanding of the product line and the applications each product serves
- Formulate a strategic plan to generate forecasted sales revenue in the assigned territory
- Care for and effectively use company property and tools (e.g., samples, vehicles, brochures, computers)
- Meet individual sales forecasts and operate within travel and expense budgets
- Manage expenses within the approved budget and submit expense reports promptly
- Work with architects, designers, flooring contractors, end users, and contractors to select products that fit design criteria, budget, and timeframe
- Travel daily throughout the assigned area to call on existing customers and prospect new ones
- Be motivated and comfortable working in and supporting a closely knit team
- Work with and manage the customer base through a CRM tool such as and consistently update CRM with relevant information
- Follow up on leads from Build Central, Material Bank, Trade Events, and networking groups
- Establish and execute daily sales calls and network through industry associations and events
- Develop an understanding of the company’s overall direction, mission, and operating strategies
- Translate company direction into a territory marketing plan with goals, accounts, and implementation plans
- Develop proposals by understanding market pricing strategies and available purchasing vehicles
- Review daily order entry to ensure data accuracy and on-time shipments
- Develop relationships with flooring contractors, particularly commercial contractors, to increase revenue
- Prepare regionalized pricing requirements including annual levels and special project requests
- Leverage internal sales support resources, provide samples, technical information, and answers to end users
- Develop partnering relationships with key dealers and secure discretionary business
- Identify and remove barriers to closing sales
- All other duties as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum of 4 years of sales-related experience
- Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office) and experience with CRM;
Dynamics is preferred - Industry experience strongly preferred
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Commercial flooring experience preferred, or commercial interiors or finishes
