This position is a sales territory that will cover a multi-location ready-mix concrete company in the areas between Luthersville and Madison, Georgia.
Job SummaryThe Sales Representative is responsible for generating new business, maintaining strong relationships with existing customers, and promoting the company’s ready-mix concrete products and services. This role requires a strong understanding of construction materials, excellent communication skills, and the ability to meet sales targets while ensuring customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain relationships with contractors, builders, developers, and other customers in the construction industry.
- Identify new business opportunities and generate leads through networking, site visits, and market research.
- Promote company products and services by providing technical knowledge and recommendations to customers.
- Prepare and deliver sales presentations, proposals, and bids.
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and service agreements within company guidelines.
- Collaborate with dispatch, operations, and quality control to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and project opportunities.
- Meet or exceed monthly and annual sales targets.
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and community functions.
- Provide feedback to management regarding customer needs, product performance, and service improvements.
- High school diploma required, Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field preferred.
- 2+ years of sales experience in construction materials, concrete, or related industry preferred.
- Strong knowledge of concrete products and construction processes (or willingness to learn).
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship‑building skills.
- Self‑motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Office and field‑based role with frequent travel to customer sites, plants, and job sites.
- Must be comfortable working in outdoor construction environments.
- Flexibility with work hours to meet customer and project needs.
