Job Overview

As a Facilities Technician
, you’ll play a key role in keeping our distribution center running smoothly. You’ll be responsible for performing routine maintenance, ensuring building systems function properly, and maintaining a clean, safe and compliant work environment. This is ideal for candidates who have a solid background in general maintenance, are comfortable working in a warehouse setting and are familiar with safety protocols.

Responsibilities
  • Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on warehouse infrastructure, including lighting, HVAC, plumbing and safety equipment.
  • Respond promptly to facility repair requests and work orders.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of facility and exterior areas (e.g. parking lots, docks, breakrooms).
  • Support warehouse operations by repairing racking, conveyors, machine tapers, carton erectors, dock doors, forklifts (if qualified), and other equipment as needed.
  • Assist in coordinating third-party vendors for specialized maintenance or repairs.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety standards.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and logs.
  • Operate forklifts or other material handling equipment when required (if certified)
  • Support emergency preparedness and safety procedures.
  • Support Warehouse Manager with operational needs.
  • Escort and oversee vendor visits and external technicians when necessary.
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of facilities or maintenance experience in an industrial or warehouse environment.
  • 2+ years experience operating forklifts (current certification not required).
  • Basic knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems.
  • Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
  • General knowledge of automated conveyors
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lift 75 lbs and work on ladders or in elevated areas.
  • Proactive, problem-solving mindset.
  • Must be willing and able to work overtime during the company's busiest periods.
Educational Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED required.
Preferred, Not Required
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
Work Environment
  • Warehouse setting with exposure to noise, dust, temperature variations and heavy equipment.
  • May require standing, walking, bending and lifting throughout the shift.
