Maintenance Mechanic

Greif is a global leader in performance packaging and is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to join our team. The role focuses on safeguarding equipment reliability, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

• Perform preventive maintenance on machinery and systems to ensure reliability.
• Conduct mechanical, electrical, PLC, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals, diagrams, sketches, engineering specifications, and work orders.
• Use hand tools and measuring instruments to assess dimensional requirements of parts.
• Dismantle devices and remove defective parts using hand and power tools.
• Adhere to all plant safety policies and participate in safety, housekeeping, operational excellence, and lean manufacturing programs.
• Assist with other duties as assigned.

High school diploma (or equivalent) and 1–2 years of relevant experience.

• Operate machines, hand tools, and electrical equipment.
• Understand automated industrial machinery and hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings and work orders.
• Demonstrate strong problem‑solving abilities with mechanical and electrical aptitude.
• Have basic troubleshooting experience and proven machine repair skills.
• Communicate effectively in written and oral formats.
• Work well in a team and follow directions.
• Welding, machining, and fabrication experience is a plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and relevant software.

Annual pay range: $24.18 – $41.20. Competitive wage typically between $33.12 and $33.12, with variation based on market data and experience. Short‑term incentive potential may apply.
