Junior AI Engineer - Early Career

At Lockheed Martin Aeronautics we seek a full‑time Early Junior AI Engineer to develop AI solutions for aerospace systems. This role collaborates with experts to design, develop and roll out cutting‑edge AI technologies that power operational excellence.

Collaborate with seasoned experts to design, develop and roll out AI solutions. Gain hands‑on experience with AI development, statistical analysis and data governance while making an immediate, visible impact on tomorrow’s aerospace systems.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, AI/ML or related field
• Experience in Python and foundational machine learning concepts, with the ability to develop, train, and evaluate models
• Experience in developing, training and deploying deep learning models using machine learning frameworks
• Must be a US Citizen and obtain a government security clearance (Secret)

• Familiarity with Large Language Models (LLMs) and/or Generative AI (GenAI)
• Experience with GenAI coding assistants
• Experience with agentic AI frameworks
• Understanding of agile development methodologies and version control (e.g., Git)
• Experience with data governance frameworks, metadata management, and data catalog tools
• Experience with aircraft manufacturing processes
• Strong organization and communication skills

This position requires a government security clearance (Secret). US citizenship is required.

Onsite full‑time at a Lockheed Martin facility.

Schedule:

4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week.
