Shipping & Receiving Associate
Turbotec, a company of Mueller Industries located in Newton, NC, is actively hiring for a Shipping/Receiving Clerk. Turbotec produces a diverse range of high-performance heat exchangers for virtually any space conditioning or refrigeration application for the geothermal, water heating, solar, heat recovery, and heat pump markets. As a Shipping/Receiving Clerk you will support our warehouse and logistics operations. This role plays a key part in ensuring materials and finished products are accurately received, stored, and shipped in a timely and efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments for accuracy and quality
- Prepare, package, and label outgoing shipments according to company and carrier requirements
- Maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing materials
- Load and unload trucks using appropriate equipment safely and efficiently
- Organize and maintain inventory in designated storage areas
- Assist with cycle counts and physical inventory as needed
- Coordinate with production, purchasing, and carriers to ensure timely delivery and shipment
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous warehouse, shipping, or receiving experience
- Ability to lift, move, and carry materials as required
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Basic computer and data entry skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Forklift experience or certification is a plus (or willingness to obtain)
