PositionSummary
Senior Technician – Diagnose drivability and electrical systems while leading and mentoring a team to increase customer care and satisfaction. Sign‑on bonus: $1,500 (first‑time hires). Pay Range: $20.60 – $33.47 per hour, with a flat‑rate performance‑based compensation model that rewards each eligible task.
Key Responsibilities- Diagnose and repair brake and hydraulic systems, exhaust, fuel ignition and electrical systems, suspension and alignment, air conditioning, and computer systems.
- Explain technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non‑mechanical customers.
- Stay current with rapidly changing automotive technology through continuous paid formal training.
- Assist and train technicians/mechanics in performing technical activities.
- Obtain or maintain A.S.E. certifications in at least three of A1–A8 within the first two years; company pays test and registration fees; bonus for each test passed.
- Valid automobile driver’s license at all times; able to drive customer and company vehicles.
- Demonstrated skill in brakes, hydraulics, steering, suspension, or alignment systems.
- Skilled in general automotive maintenance and tire repair.
- Current federal, state, and local certification/license where applicable.
- Ability to communicate technical information to non‑technical people.
- Reading, writing, and math skills.
- Three years of automotive repair experience, demonstrated by third‑party assessments or completion of a vocational‑technical school program.
- A.S.E. certification in at least one of A1–A8 (L1 acceptable).
