The SPAMbassador is responsible for interacting with visitors to the SPAM Museum. They help the visitors with interactive displays and providing information about SPAM and Hormel Foods as well as answer visitor questions. Additionally, the SPAMbassador is responsible for caring for and upkeep of the SPAM Museum, maintaining the appearance during hours in which it is open to the public. This position also may be required to work evenings and weekends.

• Sets up and opens the SPAM Museum for visitors.
• Greets visitors to the Museum.
• Answers questions posed in the museum.
• Prepares samples for visitors.
• Will be required to do minimal cleaning/straightening.
• Performs minor first aid in emergency situations.
• Works on a variety of Museum related projects.
• Gives 30-45 minute tours of the museum.
• Closes the SPAM Museum.

• Position is part-time.
• The SPAM Museum is open 7 days a week, some holidays and evenings.
• Typical museum hours:
  • Monday-Saturday 9 AM-5 PM and Sunday 10 AM-4 PM.
  • Events outside of typical museum hours may also be required.
• 4 hour - 6 hour shifts available during typical museum hours.

Base pay range: $12.00 - $16.75 per hour, depending on job-related knowledge, skill set, level of experience, and geographic market location.
